  L’American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) à  Maurice a effectué une visite de courtoisie auprès de M. Sanjay Bhunjun, nouvellement nommé Président de l’Economic Development Board (EDB) de Maurice, le lundi 18 mars 2025, au siège de l’EDB à Ebène Cybercity. Représentant AMCHAM Mauritius, l’ancien Président immédiat, M. Ravin Lama, et la membre du Conseil d’administration, Mme Sien Sien Shi Shun, ont rencontré le Président de l’EDB, M. Bhunjun afin de lui adresser leurs félicitations pour sa récente nomination. Lors de cette rencontre, M. AMCHAM Mauritius annonce la composition de son nouveau comité exécutif lors de sa 6ème Assemblée Générale Annuelle   Les membres du nouveau comité exécutif de la Chambre de Commerce Américaine à Maurice (AMCHAM Mauritius). De g. à dr. : Wilson Li, Ayeshah Fauzee, Anil Lockee, Jessica Naga, Vamen Poonoosamy, Sian Kiow Shi Shun, Julia Hawkins, Tej Soodaye et Muzzammir Mahamoodally.   La Chambre de Commerce Américaine à Maurice (AMCHAM Mauritius) a tenu sa 6ème Assemblée Générale Annuelle le vendredi 14 mars 2025 à Birger, à Forest-Side. Cet événement a rassemblé des membres issus de divers secteurs d’activité, réaffirmant ainsi l’engagement continu de l’AMCHAM envers le renforcement des relations économiques entre Maurice et les États-Unis. Lors de cette assemblée, un nouveau comité exécutif a été élu à l’unanimité pour un mandat courant jusqu’en 2027. U.S. Business Summit in Mauritius Kicks Off with High-Level Engagements

Port Louis, August 21, 2024: The U.S. Embassy to Mauritius, in collaboration with the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Mauritius, launched the 2024 U.S. Business Summit in Mauritius this morning, August 21, 2024, at the InterContinental Resort in Balaclava. This two-day summit, the first of its kind in two decades, is a significant milestone in strengthening economic ties and exploring business opportunities between the United States and Mauritius. Day One of the summit featured a series of high-level discussions and networking opportunities, with opening remarks delivered by U.S. Ambassador Henry Jardine and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs Cynthia Griffin. The event was also graced by the presence of several key Mauritian government officials, including the Hon. Dr. Renganaden Padayachy, Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development; Hon. AmCham Nepal and AmCham Mauritius Sign Strategic Agreement to Promote US Investments

    AmCham Nepal and AmCham Mauritius had a letter of cooperation exchange program promoting US investments in their respective nations. AmCham Nepal Chairperson Mr. Nirmal Kaji Shrestha and AmCham Mauritius President Mr. Ravin Lama have signed the letter of cooperation. Founding Chairperson of AmCham Nepal, Mr. Ajit Bikram Shah and Executive Board Members Mr. Aakash Golchha, Mr, Manish Thapa and Mr. Samratha Mogha witnessed the signing ceremony. This strategic collaboration aims to boost U.S. investments in Nepal and Mauritius and open new avenues for Nepali and Mauritian businesses in the U.S. market. It was productive meeting in order to start a strategic partnership to collaborate for the two organizations to share strengths, experience, technologies, methodologies and resources to pursue activities that advance these common goals specifically to facilitate the US based enterprise willing to expand their business in Mauritius and in Nepal. The investors in each of their nation could explore an opportunity for a business integration and may invite each other to their respective nation to showcase their business models. AmCham Nepal is a platform promoting a robust bilateral commerce between the USA and Nepal. AmCham Nepal creates a sound investment climate, strong pro-innovation policies, and shared growth and prosperity for American Investment in Nepal. Similarly, AmCham Mauritius is a non-profit organization registered under Registration of Association is a conduit for businesses in Mauritius and the United States forming partnerships and doing business with each other. AMCHAM provides strong trade ties for its members for broader opportunities both commercially and culturally. The discussions took place around enhancing U.S. Investment in joint efforts to attract and increase U.S. business investments in both nations. The Collaborative Innovation such as driving innovation and fostering a business environment through best practices and strategic activities and mutual growth through participation in cross business activities that promote integration and cooperation were discussed during the meeting. The meeting concluded with the exchange of the Business Climate Index (ABCI) report from AmCham Mauritius and the Annual Report from AmCham Nepal.
