Thank you to those of you who were able to join last week’s InSTEP conversation with H.E. Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand. From combatting climate change and managing friction points with China to lessons learned from the pandemic and the challenge of global vaccine distribution and more, the Prime Minister spoke about a broad swath of issues demonstrating her inclusive vision, in-depth expertise, and dynamism. We appreciate her insights, and we’d also like to thank Wendy Cutler of the Asia Society Policy Institute, Jonathan Swan of Axios, and Monica Whaley of the National Center for APEC, for their questions. In case you missed the engaging conversation, you can watch the recording here.

Our next InSTEP discussion is fast approaching. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Senator Todd Young (R-IN) will join me for a conversation  about China and pending legislation, COVID and global recovery efforts, trade policy and much more.

Additional details and registration link are below. We hope you will be able to join us!

Warmest regards,

Myron
